Calvin had never made it to the jail.  He had managed to overpower the officers escorting him and escape.  He had gone back to amethysts house and saw here there with that red headed jar of mayonaisse.

He followed her to the hotel and waited until things were pretty quiet before he snuck up to her room.

He hearad the shower and grinned. He pulled out the gun he had taken from the cop and opened the bathroom door quietly.  He walked over to the shower and pushed back the curtain.

Calvin: Get out now our I'll kill you where you set.

He reached in grabbing her hair and pulling her out of the shower.

Calvin: Get dressed.  Now.

He kept the gun on her while she got dressed.

Calvin: I took care of your little red headed friend. He won't be around to take you away again.

He knew he couldn't go back to his place and didn't want to take her to the damn hideout where he knew he would have to follow the rules there.  He grinned knowing exactly the place to take her.  His sister's house.  She wasn't using it right now since she was off working with the gay Joe Spring friend of hers.

He drove to Kat's house and let himself in and turned off the alarm system grateful she never changed the code. He dropped Amethyst onto the floor  and put his bag down so he could get out the things he needed.

He looked at Amethyst's head seeing the bruise forming and grinned.

Calvin: I think she's gonna have a headache when she wakes up.

He took her down to the basement guestroom and tied her to the bed.

He pulled the gun out of his jeans and shot at the wall.

Calvin: Next shot won't be a warning shot.

He looked at her and frowned.

Calvin: This isn't good.

He picked her up holding her tight so he wouldn't drop her and drove her the first place that he thought of.

Calvin: Luke do something.  I love her.  She can't die. Dammit.

He was setting beside her holding her hand when she woke up.

Calvin: Darling?  How are you feeling?

He shook his head.

Calvin: Thankfully no.  You aren't dying.

He shrugged thinking about it.

Calvin: Marry you.  Be the father of your children.

He looked at her and rolled his eyes.

Calvin: Did I ever tell you that I don't like you?

He shook his head.

Calvin: I love you, Amethyst. It took almost losing you to make me see it.

He sighed and looked away.

Calvin: The one place I really didn't want to bring you.  I didn't have any other choice though.

He looked at her and rolled his eyes.

Calvin: Bringing you here saved your life. Can't you be thankful for that?

He shook his head.

Calvin: I didn't hit your head.  The wall did.

He shook his head.

Calvin: See that's the problem. I brought you here and now we are both stuck here.

He sighed when she moved away.

Calvin: Will you please stop doing that?  That's how you got hurt before.

He put his hands on her shoulders.

Calvin: Please don't cause trouble here. I'm nothing compared to what the people here can do.

He shook his head.

Calvin: It won't be like before.  It can't be if we are both going to survive this.

He looked at her.

Calvin: I will be killed for the way I treated you before. And then you will be given to another man who may not be as nice as I am.

He looked at her and smiled.

Calvin: That's at the very bottom of my bucket list.

He leaned over and kissed her cheek.

Calvin: Being here may just be the best thing that has ever happened to you.
